Masterclass in storytelling with Simon Adler, Radiolab

Senior Producer/Correspondent Simon Adler has been working at Radiolab for nearly a decade. Over that time, he’s done everything from finding the stories you hear to writing the music that brings them to life.

In this masterclass, he’ll break down Radiolab’s production process, discuss in practical terms the mechanisms that make a story move and answer questions from those in attendance.

Radiolab is on a curiosity bender. They ask deep questions and use investigative journalism to get the answers. A given episode might whirl you through science, legal history, and into the home of someone halfway across the world. The show is known for innovative sound design, smashing information into music. It’s produced by WNYC, a public radio station based in New York City, published as a podcast and broadcast on more than 570 public radio stations in the United States.
